LifeBrite Community Hospital of Stokes commenced operations under new ownership effective Jan. 31, assuring access to essential healthcare services remain available for the region.

The hospital lease previously owned by Pioneer Health Services is now owned by the LifeBrite Hospital Management Company.

Administrator Pamela Tillman will continue in her role at LifeBrite Community Hospital of Stokes. Tillman expressed much enthusiasm with the changes.

“With all of the recent uncertainty it has been very reassuring for our staff and our community to work with a new ownership group that shares our healthcare vision. This is a fresh start and very good news for Stokes County,” she said.

Stokes County Manager Rick Morris echoed Tillman’s sentiment.

“Stokes County Commissioners and LifeBrite are working together to expand access to healthcare services in the county. LifeBrite’s planned presence at our new Pine Hall Community Campus is one example of LifeBrite’s approach to working with the community. We’ve been very pleased by their level of engagement.”

LifeBrite Hospital Management Company CEO Christian Fletcher cites the strong local leadership as a significant factor in LifeBrite’s decision to acquire ownership of the lease.

“Healthcare continues to evolve rapidly. Yet, healthcare remains a local issue – best addressed by local solutions. We have been managing the hospital since July 2016 and have forged a shared vision. Pam and her team, the local provider community and county leadership care deeply about providing access to the best care possible – their passion and professionalism are inspiring and we look forward to being part of this community for a long time.”

Fletcher also indicated that future services and upgrades to facilities and technology are all part of LifeBrite’s vision.

Currently LifeBrite provides the following services: Family Medicine & Urgent Care, Acute Care, Emergency Department, Laboratory, Physical, Occupational, & Speech Therapy, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Radiology (CT, Ultrasound, X-ray), Respiratory Therapy, Nursing Home, Short-term Rehabilitation and Surgical Services.
