Winston-Salem City Councilwoman DD Adams will host a Farmers’ Forum on July 18, at 6:30 p.m. in King Central Park.
Adams, the Democratic candidate for North Carolina’s Fifth Congressional District, knows the importance of agriculture and is seeking to learn from constituents.
“This time of year is important. It’s a busy time for farmers. I remember my family farm was harvesting tomatoes, corn, and watermelon. I also know engagement is important to understanding the challenges farmers in the 5th District face,” said Adams. “Who better to voice their concerns than farmers themselves.”
Farmers are encouraged attend to share issues that affect them currently and those that may be of interest in the November election. The public is welcome to attend.
“The forum promises to share Councilwoman Adams’ platform and establish an effective dialog,” said Adam Zebzda, event coordinator. “We are looking forward to hearing and discussing what’s on the minds of our local farmers.”
