So…have you had any rain lately? Look at this way – at least it’s not lava coming down from the sky. No matter how bad things may seem, there is always some place that has it worse.

Don’t forget the Spaghetti Supper Fundraiser for Dillon Priddy, a kindergarten student at Sandy Ridge Elementary School battling leukemia. This supper will be Saturday, May 26, from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Sandy Ridge Elementary School Cafeteria. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under. There will also be a silent auction and raffle. Please come out and support this precious little boy and his family.

There will be a Raise the Roof Country Breakfast at the Francisco Community Building Saturday, June 2, from 7:00-10:00 am. All Francisco organizations are coming together to prepare the best breakfast around. This will include gravy, biscuits, bacon, sausage, eggs, grits and whatever’s left that goes with a country breakfast. Why go to the city for breakfast? You have it right here! Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy!

There will be a huge multifamily yard sale in the Asbury community beginning Friday, June 8 at 8:00 am. Several families in the community will be participating. It will start just beyond Asbury Evangelical Presbyterian Church on Flippin Road and extend to Collins Farm Road. They plan on continuing the yard sale to Saturday, June 9, also beginning at 8:00 am. Everyone is invited to come out and look for treasures.

Prayers for the Agnes May Rogers Young family. Mrs. Young, formerly of the Francisco community passed away May 12. Her sister, Betty Ruth Shelton, still lives in Francisco.
