TRIED AND TASTED RECIPE

Sausage Casserole

This recipe was given to me by my friend, Sara Long. She brought this to homecoming, and it was delicious.

1 lb. pork sausage and ½ cup chopped onion

Brown sausage with onion on stove and drain. Sprinkle 2 tbsp. flour and stir. Add 16 oz. can of undrained tomatoes, 4 oz. can of undrained mushrooms, 1 tsp. oregano, ½ tsp. basil, ¼ tsp. garlic powder and 1/8 tsp. pepper. Stir and mix well, ‘til hot and slightly thickened. Separate can of crescent rolls into pieces; arrange on top of sausage mixture in Pyrex dish. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake 15-20 minutes until bread is browned at 400 degrees.
