Hope everyone had a blessed Mother’s Day. I did. I always enjoy spending time with Holly. Saturday morning, we worked at the Pancake Breakfast at Dan River Church. By the way, thank you to all who came out and supported the Dan River Disciples Youth Group. We had a wonderful turnout of very generous people. We went through a lot of pancakes, gravy and sausage. I could not have been more proud of the girls that put this fundraiser together. This is truly an awesome group of teens that I know will be blessed for their efforts.
Don’t forget the Cash Bingo event Saturday, May 19, at the Francisco Community Building. Hot dogs will be ready at 6:00 pm and the games start at 7:00 pm. The cost is $20 for 20 games. All proceeds go toward the upkeep of the community building.
There will be a Cowbell Service at Asbury Evangelical Presbyterian Church Sunday evening, May 20 beginning with a cookout at 6:00 pm. The service will start at 7:00 pm with the following pastors scheduled to attend, Andy Pack, Ricky Easter, Tracey Collins, Terry Collins, Adam Hanes and Mark George. If you have never been to one of these services, I highly suggest you go. Each pastor has an allotted amount of time to get their message out. If the time runs out, someone rings the cowbell and the pastor must sit down. This proves to be very difficult for some. Everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy the evening.
