Hope everyone had a blessed Easter. It was such a beautiful weekend to spend time with family and friends. My sister and I visited my aunt and uncle Sunday evening and had family time with them, although we did have a rude awakening while we were there. When we were younger and visiting Granny’s house, all the older people were inside and the kids were always outside playing. Now, we are the ones inside, we are the “older ones.” Life goes on.

The Francisco Volunteer Fire Department will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary this year. They are commemorating this event with a special edition Case Pocketknife. Members of the fire department have collaborated with the makers of Case Pocketknives and have designed a pocketknife just for this occasion. If you are interested in purchasing one of these special edition pocketknives, the order forms may be picked up at the Francisco Fire Department or you may call the fire department at 336-351-2696 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. This is a beautiful, limited edition knife, great for any collector. Orders are being taken now, so don’t wait too long.
