It sure was a beautiful snowfall on Saturday. It looked really pretty on the daffodils and forsythias, unusual but pretty. Let’s hope that’s the last of it for the season.

Thanks to all who ventured out in the snow last Saturday to help support Greg Collins’ election fundraiser. He had a wonderful turn out.

The Herb Class held last Monday at the Francisco Community Building was a huge success! So much so, that another one is being planned for some time in April using four different herbs. I’ll have more about this next week.

Francisco Presbyterian Church will have a Maundy Thursday Service March 29 starting at 7:00 pm. Everyone is invited to attend. They will also have a special Easter Sunrise Service at 7:00 am Sunday, April 1. A light breakfast will be served after and regular service will be at 8:30 am. They welcome everyone.

Brent Sawyers will be the guest pastor at the Easter Service at Dan River Baptist Church, Sunday April 1. Service will begin at 11:00 am. Everyone is invited to attend.

Farmers Appreciation Night will be Thursday, April 5, at North Stokes High School. This event will be from 6:00-9:00 pm.

The Francisco Ruritan Club will have a Pancake Breakfast at the Francisco Community Building Saturday, April 7, from 7:00-10:00 am. Come out and support our community Ruritans and get a great breakfast!

The Ruritans will also sponsor a Cash Bingo Saturday, April 21, at the Francisco Community Building. Hot Dogs will be ready at 6:00 pm and the games start at 7:00 pm. The cost is $20 for 20 games. Everyone come out and enjoy an evening of fun!

Prayers for the Lois Hamilton Joyce Family. Mrs. Joyce is the mother of David Williams of the Collinstown community. Please lift these precious people up in prayer.

I hope everyone has a blessed Easter. My best Easter memories are of Easter egg hunts at Granny’s house after a big family dinner. Years later we would have the egg hunts and dinners at Mama and Daddy’s house. When my daughter was little, I would have to start hiding eggs in February. She loved it!! But let’s all remember what Easter is about. I read a caption on Facebook the other day that said, “It’s not about the bunny, it’s about the Lamb!” That pretty much sums it up. Happy Easter!
