Update: City of King offices have phone and internet service as of 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
King City Hall, police department, fire department, maintenance and the water plant are without phone and internet service as of Thursday morning, said King City Manager Homer Dearmin.
“We’ve been told this is a widespread outage and it could be out until 10:30 this evening,” Dearmin said. “We apologize for any inconvenience.”
Windstream Repair is currently working to restore service and said the outage was caused by a fallen tree that took out both telecom and power lines. Once the power lines have been deemed repaired and safe, crews will be able to continue cable replacement efforts.
