Celebration of Public Education Stokes and Surry Counties

Staff Report

Calling all Stokes and Surry County Schools employees! You are invited to a special celebration of your dedication to our children, hosted by NC Senate candidate and former classroom teacher, Jen Mangrum. We would like to honor your work that strengthens Stokes and Surry Counties for all residents.

The Celebration of Public Education will be held Tuesday, Sept. 4, from 6 – 8 p.m. at King Reception Acres Community Building, 107 White Road in King. After a Brown’s Grill BBQ dinner, Senator Jeff Jackson, will bring greetings from the NC Senate.

As we prepare to build our future, we know that quality education is the foundation we must have! Beginning a new school year is always exciting because it brings new chances, fresh starts, and endless opportunities to make this the best year yet for all your students. Several special surprises are planned for the evening, so we hope you will join us.

All school employees (custodians, office support, teacher assistants, cafeteria workers, counselors, social workers, teachers, administrators, bus drivers, district staff) are invited to share in the food, fellowship and fun. We all touch the lives of our children in important ways! Because we know your dedication to our students often takes you away from your own family and friends, we invite you to bring one adult with you to the celebration. Please include your guest’s name when you RSVP.

Stokes and Surry County Schools’ employees, please RSVP by noon August 30 at www.JenMangrumforNC.com/WesternCelebration. Please include your guest when you RSVP.
