The Pinnacle Ruritan Club awarded two scholarships to graduates of West Stokes High School for the fall of 2018. Recipients were Kruti Patel and Addison Edge.

Patel will attend Appalachian State University and Edge will attend Forsyth Technical Community College. In addition to the scholarships, the club presented Addie Willard, the Spelling Bee Champion from Pinnacle Elementary School a gift and plaque.

On Saturday, September 8, the club will host a free community cookout at the Pinnacle United Methodist Church picnic shelter from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and all are welcome. Music will be provided by Cranford Creek Bluegrass Band. Raffle tickets are on sale now. Anyone interested in joining the Pinnacle Ruritan Club is encouraged to attend the cookout and a meeting. Club meetings are the fourth Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Pinnacle United Methodist Church. The next meeting will be Thursday, July 26 at 7 p.m.
