Members of the King Lions Club recently awarded the MADIK group, who spearheaded the all-inclusive playground in King, with a $2,000 donation. MADIK volunteer Chad Tucker accepted the check on behalf of the board. The playground was built last September by the community and is currently open. The donation will help the group with some final items currently under construction, including mountain structures, a paved entrance path, landscaping and signage. A formal dedication is slated for this coming September. The King Lions Club has been instrumental in the development of recreation and parks in the community, including creating King Recreation Acres where the new playground is located.
