Westfield teen completes Eagle Scout Service Project

Michael Overstreet recently completed his Eagle Scout Service Project through BSA Troop 412. The 17-year-old worked alongside volunteers to replace benches in the amphitheater at Hanging Rock State Park. Volunteers who helped make the project possible were Keith and Kathy Pyrtle, Robin Petree, Chris and Andrew Lankford, Randy Young, Michael Mosley, Nathan Lawson, Jud Burns and Kim Overstreet.

Donations were provided through Hedgecock Building Supply of Walnut Cove; Donald and Brenda Lankford, Robin and Doris Petree, Kathy Pyrtle, Karen Handy and Kim Overstreet.

Overstreet thanked his leaders Greg Bullins and Keith Bolejack with Troop 412 for their support and Lewis Wood, who recently passed away and worked with the troop for more than 50 years.
