The Stokes County Arts Council announces the premiere of their newest music series, 3rd Saturday Grass. This series will feature Bluegrass musicians from across the region each month with performances at The Arts Place of Stokes, 502 Main Street in Danbury.

3rd Saturday Grass will kick off on Saturday, May 19 with Hot Trail Mix. An innovative new Bluegrass band out of the Asheville/Boone, the band has a rowdy youthful vigor that excites audiences of all ages, shapes and sizes. With repertoire ranging from straight-and-narrow gospel standards to original ballads about drinking whiskey ’till ya kick the bucket. The band features an all-star cast of convention ribbon winners, including: Stokes County native Mason Via (guitar), Zeb Gambill (mandolin), Grayson “Pinky” Tuttle (banjo), Sam Weiss (Caleb Clauder Country Band) on fiddle, and Zachary Smith (of Town Mountain) on bass.

The summer lineup for 3rd Saturday Grass will also include performances by None of the Above, Grassifieds, Rich in Tradition, Pilot Mountain Bobcats, and many others.

Admission for 3rd Saturday Grass is $5 per person, with children 12 and under free. Advanced tickets are available online at www.squareup.com/store/stokesarts, or by calling 336-593-8159.
