The Stokes Stomp Parade will be held this year on Saturday, September 9 at 10 a.m. The theme of the parade will be: “Music Celebrating Mountains-to-Sea Trail’s 40th Anniversary”. The annual parade will follow the same route as in previous years, beginning at the Government Center and proceed on Main Street to Moratock Park.
“We will begin staging at the Government Center on Saturday morning at 8 a.m.” said Danbury Town Administrator, Mike Barsness. “Restrooms will be available in the lobby of the Stokes County Corrections Center.”
Marching Bands will stage on Sheep Rock Road and restrooms will be available in the Stokes County Offices at that location. Judging of entries will occur between 8 a.m. and 9:15 a.m.
Awards will be presented prior to the parade beginning. The parade will get underway promptly at 10 a.m.
