Brittney Kaye Lloyd and Joel Tyler Kent of Charlotte were married at 6 p.m. on May 28 at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden in Belmont, N.C. The Rev. Alan Paschal officiated the outdoor ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Norman Lloyd of Auburn, WA and Kaye Bishop of Salem, SC. She is the granddaughter of Jimmy Durham and Raymon Lloyd and the late Mary and Curtis Drake. Brittney is an Esthetician at The Ballantyne Hotel in Charlotte and is pursuing a degree in English Education at UNC-Charlotte.
The groom is the son Terry and Janelle Kent of Danbury. He is the grandson of Raymond Young and the late Doris Young and Barbara Kent and the late Wesley Kent. He is a Recreation Facility Manager for Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation.
The maid of honor was Jennifer Harper and bridesmaids were Alexandra Huapaya and Theresa Allen.
The best man was the groom’s brother, Jeremy Kent. The groomsmen were Andy Orderman and Jon Lemonds.
Child attendants were Norah Kent, the groom’s niece and Ariah Bishop, the bride’s niece, and Triston Bowlin. Ushers were Wade Bishop, the bride’s brother, and Bradley Bottoms, the groom’s cousin.
After a trip to the Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Charlotte.
