Ackley delivers winning run for Rainiers

Dustin Ackley’s bases loaded sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth drove in the winning run as the AAA Tacoma Rainiers beat Sacramento on Sunday in a Pacific Coast League game, 3-2.

Ackley of Walnut Cove, was Seattle’s top draft pick and the second overall in 2009.

It was his 11th game with Tacoma after being called up from AA West Tennessee.

Ackley played high school ball at South Stokes and North Forsyth and collegiately at North Carolina.

In 12 games, Ackley was batting .268 with a home run, eight runs and nine RBIs.
