Mrs. Virginia Ann Smith Rippey, age 71, of Mount Airy, passed away at her home on Thursday, October 8, 2009. Mrs. Rippey was born in Surry County on February 16, 1938, to the late Culbert and Susan Willard Smith.

Margaret Lea Cardwell Sisk, 62, of 2760 Sisk Rd, passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at her home.
WILLARD
Mrs. Pearl Bates Willard, age 93, widow of the late Nicholas “Nick” Willard of Pilot Mountain, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2009, in King. Mrs. Willard was born in Wise, VA, on April 25, 1916.
