The Ruritans will have a turkey shoot May 9 at 6 p.m. Food will be available.

A baby shower for Cindy Boles was held Sunday at her home on Brown Mountain Road. She received a lot of nice gifts. The baby is expected to be a boy.

Judy Lupo had eye surgery last week. She had a detached retina.
