Winter Dessert Theatre: Beginning in January of each year, the Stokes County Arts Council sponsors a series of professional performances during the winter season at venues throughout Stokes County. Stay warm with a delicious beverage (coffee or tea) and dessert and enjoy the performance. Admission.
Monthly Gallery Exhibits: The Stokes County Arts Council hosts monthly gallery exhibits featuring Stokes County artists. A reception is held in honor of the artist the last Friday of each month from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the Apple Gallery, Stokes County Arts Council, 500 N. Main Street, Danbury. Musical entertainment provided. The reception is FREE and open to the pubic.
Military Performances: Performances are held throughout the year in King and Walnut Cove honoring our country’s service men and women. These events may be held during Armed Forces Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day and Veterans Day. FREE to the public.
Wine, Bid and Boogie Art Auction: Guests slip on their dancing shoes, tip their glasses, and open up their wallets for this good cause. The Wine, Bid and Boogie Party, a fundraiser for the Stokes County Arts Council, features musical entertainment, a wine tasting from Germanton Winery, live and silent art auction of beautiful artwork by local and nationally known artists, all taking place on the banks of the beautiful Town Fork Creek behind the Germanton Winery, 3530 Highways 8 and 65, Germanton. Admission.
Summer Art Camps: The Stokes County Arts Council sponsors visual and performing art camps for Stokes County students ages 7-18 during the summer. Pre-registration and admission.
Stokes Stomp: The Stokes County Arts Council hosts the Stokes Stomp, Festival on the Dan, annually during the month of September at Moratock Park, along the banks of the beautiful Dan River in historic Danbury. FREE Admission.
Christmas in Danbury: A community-wide celebration of the holidays in historic Danbury. FREE Admission.
