Stokes Early College High School has started recruiting students for the freshmen class for next school year (2013-2014). Faculty members and students will be visiting three area middle schools during the morning to speak to eighth graders about attending classes at the early college. In the evening, faculty members will return to visit with parents and answer questions about the school and what the early college program is about.


Those interested in attending Stokes Early College should visit the school’s website at www.earlycollege.stokes.k12.nc.us/. All applications are due by Feb. 28.


Those with questions about the early college or upcoming events should call Principal Steven Hall at 336-593-5402.


Below is a schedule of the recruitment visits:


• Jan. 22: Chestnut Grove Middle School visit with students – 9 a.m. to noon.


• Jan. 24: Chestnut Grove Middle School Parents’ Night at 6:30 p.m. in the media center.


• Jan. 28: Piney Grove Middle School visit with students from 2:30 to 3 p.m. (All eighth grade students at same time).


• Jan. 29: Piney Grove Middle School Parents’ Night at 6:30 p.m. in the media center.


• Jan. 30: Southeastern Middle School visit with students from 10 to 11:30 a.m.


• Jan. 31: Southeastern Middle School Parents’ Night at 6:30 p.m. in the media center.
