The annual meeting for the Double Creek Fire Dept. will be held January 26th at 2 p.m. at the fire station. This meeting is important for the community. I hope to see you there.
The Rock House Ruritans will have a turkey shoot again this Saturday night with the doors opening at 5 p.m. The shooting starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are available for the $5,000 money giveaway on May 4th.
The Country Produce store in Pilot Mountain is now closed every Wednesday until further notice.
A lot of farmers are plowing land getting ready for the gardens and crops. The land works better now than in the spring.
Karen Johnson celebrated her birthday last Friday, January 11th.

UNC Tarheels finally woke up and won one game. They are not playing good ball. I know they can do better.
