Both of West Stokes’ varsity teams picked up a conference win on Friday night at North Stokes High School.

The Lady Wildcats grabbed their first conference win of the season with a 46-34 rout against the Vikings.

Top scorers for the Lady Wildcats were Abby Harris (13 pts.) and Makala Bozman (12 pts.).

West Stokes’ varsity boys team followed up with a 66-46 win for the evening. The team remains undefeated in conference play this season 5-0.

The Top scorers for the Wildcats were Reid Goodson (26 pts.) and Alston Furr (11 pts.).

Coach Dan Spainhour said that it was a good feeling to be 5-0 in the conference this season. He said that the matchup against North Stokes was not easy.

“North Stokes is a scrappy bunch,” he said. “They played hard.”
