Brenda White is pictured with the Betty Lawing Book Memorial, a new children’s book memorial in honor of long-time library assistant Betty Lawing. Mrs. Lawing worked at the library in the early 1990’s. She retired in June of 1996. Numerous board books and chapter books for early readers were purchased for the memorial.
