WINSTON-SALEM - West Stokes fell to Reagan 70-64 in the first round of the Frank Spencer Holiday Classic, which was hosted at Mount Tabor High School on Wednesday night.

Reagan jumped out and grabbed the lead early in the game with some big treys from Raiders Rashaad Roberts and Evan Peatross.

The Wildcats fought to tie the game up 17-17 at the beginning of the second. But, shortly after, the Raiders took back the lead and kept it for the remainder of the evening.

“I knew we were going to have a tough time matching up with them,” Wildcats Coach Dan Spainhour said.

Spainhour said that Reagan’s big plays from Roberts and Peatross changed the dynamic of the game. The Wildcats were forced to spend more time guarding against the threat of big shots, which took away from the offense.

Top scorers for the Wildcats were Josh Spainhour (25 pts.), Reid Goodson (19 pts.) and Zach Hartle (9 pts.).
