Alumni Basketball Tournament scheduled


Glory Days Hoops is hosting the first ever alumni boys basketball tournament for Stokes and Surry County schools. Former players will compete over the two-day tournament against rival schools for a chance to relive, reconnect and replay some of their greatest memories. The event will be held at West Stokes High School on December 29-30, 2012. Minimum of eight players per team. Each player is guaranteed three games and will receive a reversible game uniform. Project Uth 360 to hold camp


Southeastern Stokes Middle School will host Project Uth 360’s third annual Holiday Activity Camp Dec. 27th-29th. Children will be able to participate in basketball or dance/tumbling sessions each day of the camp. The camp will cost $10 per child and that covers the costs of snacks, drinks and Saturday’s lunch. Alumni football coming to King


Would you like to strap on a helmet one more time? Alumni football is coming to King. Gridiron Alumni is planning several full contact alumni football games. Gridiron Alumni travels the nation pitting old football rivals against each other one more time. Players are needed to sign up and the first 40 players on each team get to play. The team that gets 30 people registered first gets home field advantage. Gridiron Alumni is targeting more of the biggest rivalries in the nation for its Gridiron Alumni Rivalry Series. Teams from West Stokes, Athens Drive, The Cary, Garner Magnet, as well as other area teams are forming now. The games are set for early spring.
