The Sandy Ridge Ruritans hosted a wonderful veterans dinner on Nov. 9. There was delicious food and heartwarming fellowship. They were kind enough to extend an invitation to the Sandy Ridge Cub, Boy and Girl Scouts to present the colors, perform the Pledge of Allegiance, assist the veterans in carrying their plates and to clean the tables. There was no need for any of these veterans to worry about anything except just being honored and appreciated. In the American Legion building all you could hear was conversation and laughter.
