Officers with the King Police Department have made an arrest following an armed robbery that occurred Friday afternoon at the CVS store on South Main Street.

Eric Duncan of 102 Rengo Drive, King, has been charged with the armed robbery. He is under a $50,000 bond.

According to Police Chief Paula May, the armed robbery occurred around 1:45 p.m. at the CVS store Friday when a white male in his twenties threatened to shoot pharmacy personnel but fled when he was given the prescription pills he demanded. A “significant quantity” of pills were taken, May said.

King police identified Duncan as a suspect and arrested him that night.
