Sandy Ridge News: Sandy Ridge Ruritans to honor veterans

The Red Cross Blood Mobile will be at the Sandy Ridge Community Building on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Blood is much needed so come out and give and be thankful that you may have saved someone’s life.

The Sandy Ridge Ruritan Club will honor the veterans in the area with a free dinner Friday night, Nov. 9 at the American Legion building on Amostown Road in Sandy Ridge at 6 p.m.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Mozell Lawson Rhodes who died Thursday, October 20.

Sympathy is extended to the family of Buddy Amos who died Friday, November 2.

Dewey Hall is a patient in the hospital.

Cayle Amos spent a couple of days in Pioneer Community Hospital in Danbury last week.

Four members of Oak Ridge Baptist Church left Sunday for a week in New Jersey to help out with the disaster there.

A large number enjoyed the Oak Ridge Baptist Church stew Saturday.

A Brunswick stew to help with the upkeep of the Sandy Ridge Community building will be held Saturday, Nov. 17 at the building, cooked by David Manuel.
