The Nancy Reynolds Elementary School is having its first Craft and Bazaar on November 17th from 8 a.m. to noon. Craft and business tables are for rent. Everyone is welcome. On November 10th at 11 a.m., the Pilot Mountain VFW Post 9436 will have a flag retirement ceremony at the post home at 142 Veterans Drive in Pilot Mountain. Refreshments will be served immediately after the ceremony. Please make plans to attend and remember our veterans and those serving in the armed forces every day.

On Saturday, November 10th, Brown Mountain Baptist Church is having a chicken stew from 5 to 8 p.m. Two bowls of stew, drink and desert for $8. The proceeds go for the children’s playground. The church is located on Highway 66 near the Nancy Reynolds School.

The Rock House Ruritan Club will have a turkey shoot Saturday, November 10th. The doors will open at 5 p.m. with the shooting starting at 6 p.m. The club is located five miles east of Pilot Mountain on Highway 268.

On November 17th, the Rock House Ruritan Club will have a Christmas in November table sale with 20 vendors from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The vendors include Miche pocketbooks (change the covers), Avon, Tupperware, Pampered Chef, homemade crafts, candles, jewelry and more. Ham and sausage biscuits for breakfast with hot dogs, drinks, and desserts for lunch. Door prizes will be given throughout the day. Avoid the crowded malls and get an early start on your Christmas shopping. Stop by and see what these vendors have to offer! We would greatly appreciate your support.
