Sat., Nov. 3
Bazaar — On Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Antioch United Methodist Church in Rural Hall will hold a bazaar, featuring baked goods, chicken pies, ham biscuits, chicken salad, and crafts.
BBQ — Don’t forget the annual BBQ at Red Bank Baptist Church in Germanton on Nov. 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $8 for a BBQ plate or $4 for a hotdog plate. Drive thru or eat in. Baked goods and crafts are also available. Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church is located at 8104 Red Bank Road, Germanton.
Chicken stew — Salem Chapel Christian Church, 7745 Salem Chapel Road, Walnut Cove, will have its annual fundraiser chicken stew on Nov. 3 from 4 to 7 p.m. Chicken stew, drink and dessert will be $6; quart “take-outs” — $5; and hot dogs — $1.50. Separate drink and desserts — 50 cents each. Money will be for church projects and Outreach.
Bazaar — Shiloh United Methodist Church, 6496 Baux Mountain Road, Winston-Salem, will hold its annual fall bazaar Nov. 3 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Homemade breakfast and lunch will be served. Crafts, baked goods, canned goods, Christmas items available.
Bazaar — Hickory Ridge United Methodist Church, 6012 Germanton Road, Winston-Salem, will hold its Annual Fall Bazaar on Nov. 3 from 8 a.m. to noon. Full breakfast will be available. Sale items include canned goods, baked goods, chicken stew to go, crafts, etc. For information call 924-4712.

Revival — Rosebud Christian Church will hold its revival Nov. 4-6 at 7 p.m. nightly with a special guest speaker, Scott Cunningham. There will be special music nightly. Join the church for homecoming on Nov. 4. Sunday School at 10 a.m.; worship service at 11 a.m.; and a covered dish meal will be served in the fellowship hall following the worship service. Stew — On Nov. 10 at 3 p.m. at Mountain View Baptist Church, chicken and oyster stew and hot dogs with all the trimmings, plus desserts, will be available. Come and enjoy the fellowship. Noahs Faith will perform music for the afternoon and evening. Carry-outs are available at $5 per quart.

Bazaar — Kingswood United Methodist Church will hold a bazaar on Nov. 17 from 8 to 11 a.m. at 6840 University Parkway, Rural Hall. There will be cakes, pies, breads, cookies, casseroles, chicken pies, crafts, cookbooks, and a special drawing. Breakfast served.
Bazaar — Bethesda United Methodist Church, Madison, will host a bazaar on Nov. 17 at Dan Valley Community Building, 310 Dan Valley Road, Madison, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be crafts, yard sale items, food and much more. A light breakfast will be available for purchase at 9 a.m. Lunch will be available for purchase from 11 a.m. until, including hotdogs, pinto beans and can drinks.

Cartridge collecting — Harvest Temple Church of God is now collecting empty inkjet cartridges for recycling. Cartridges can be deposited in the collection bin next to the daycare office. Rejoice Recovery — Rejoice Recovery, a recovery group for women, meets every Monday from 7-9 p.m. at Hope Pregnancy Care Center, 117 Charles Road in King. This program incorporates a 12-step program proven to be successful with overcoming a variety of undesirable behaviors and finding forgiveness and freedom from past sins and mistakes. The program is based on sound biblical principles, and that foundation is pointed out and emphasized.
