The 1947 Class of Pinnacle High School had their reunion October 25th at the Mountain View Restaurant in Pilot Mountain. Twelve people out of 15 were present. I think most of them were over the hill, especially R.J. Bennett. They all had a good time talking about the “good old days.”
We were sorry to hear about the death of Mrs. Mary (Otis) Beasley. Her funeral was Sunday at Big Creek Primitive Baptist Church. She worked for the Francisco Nutrition Center for many years. We extend sympathy to her family.
We also were sad to hear about the death of Margaret East Bateman. Her funeral was Sunday afternoon at Brown Mountain Baptist Church. She lived her young life in the Nancy Reynolds area and was the daughter of Buster and Erlene East. We extend sympathy to her family.
The Rock House Ruritan Club will have a turkey shoot this Saturday night with the doors opening at 5 p.m. The shooting will start at 6 p.m. We have a good time talking with neighbors and meeting new people. Come out and join us whether you shoot or not.
