There will be a yard sale on G W Burwell Farm Road off Hwy 66 on October 12 and 13th from 8 a.m. until noon. There will be an auction afterwards on Saturday.

The Homecoming will be at Brims Grove Baptist Church Sunday, October 14th with Marty Sewall bringing the message at 11 a.m. There will be a covered dish lunch afterwards. Everyone is welcome to attend. The church is located 3 miles east of Pilot Mountain on Hwy 268.

October 12th is the last day to register to vote in the November election.

A mountain lion was seen near Jackson Road in the edge of the woods by Jim and Sandra Turney last week.

October 6th was the last cruise-in in Pilot Mountain for this year.

There will be a bingo party at the Rock House Ruritan Club Friday, October 12th at 7 p.m. The doors will open at 6 p.m. with food available. A total of 20 games will be played for $20 with the prizes worth around $20 or more each. Please come out and join the fun!

The Rock House Ruritans will have a turkey shoot on Saturday, October 13th with registration beginning at 5 p.m. Men and women both are shooting. It is a good place to bring the entire family. We have games for the children, yard sale items, food, and it’s a good place to talk with your friends and neighbors and meet new people. Come out and support our club!

There will be a multi-family yard sale at 2267 Perch Road in Pinnacle Thursday, Friday and Saturday, October 11-13th from 7 a.m. until. There is a large selection of men, women’s and children’s clothing along with home and Christmas decorations and furniture. This is one yard sale you do not want to miss!

Ruth Robertson, Candice Brown and Melissa Lewis visited Kayla Lewis at Wingate University Saturday. They toured the campus, did a little shopping and ate at Applebee’s. They had a very enjoyable trip. Kayla will be coming home soon for the fall break.

I am glad the white horse was found that was lost for so long.
