The NC Cooperative Extension Service is sponsoring a Fall Field Day at N.C. Agricultural and Technical State University Farm in Greensboro on Oct. 18th from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
Local foods production systems training will be offered in the following areas:
• Growing vegetables without soil (hydroponics)
• Organic nutrient management (cover crops, organic fertilizer, etc.) in high tunnel tomato production
• Cauliflower and (alternative colored) broccoli production
The NC A&T University Farm is located off McConnell Road in Greensboro.
Stokes County Cooperative Extension will be taking a van to the event. The van will depart the Stokes Cooperative Extension office at 7:30 a.m. and return around 12:45 p.m.
