A startling arrest has been made in a burglary case that happened some time between Apr. 29 and Apr. 30 on Bolejack Road in Germanton. It turns out that the suspect who was taken into custody was the victim’s own daughter.
Amanda Sue Fultz, 28, of 8281 Gaulding Road, Walnut Cove, was arrested on Friday, May 13, in connection with the crime. She was picked up by the Criminal Investigative Division of the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office.
The crime back in late April involved someone breaking into a Germanton residence and stealing a large number of firearms and some jewelry. As Detective Jason Needham investigated the case, he learned that the suspect Fultz was also the daughter of the man who was victimized.
Fultz has been charged with one count each of Felony Conspiracy, Second Degree Burglary, Larceny after Breaking and Entering and Possession of Stolen Goods/Property.
She was issued a $10,000 unsecured bond. Her District Court date is Wednesday, June 15. The Stokes County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate this case, and they expect that more arrests will be made.
