After picking up a win against Mount Airy on Monday night, the West Stokes Wildcats had a repeat performance on Tuesday night with a narrow 49-45 win over Surry Central.

Wildcats Coach Dan Spainhour said that at this point in the season, all the games are going to be hard-fought and close.

“We didn’t do a lot of good things, but we did enough good things to win,” Spainhour said. “I’m pleased.”

The top scorers for the Wildcats were Josh Spainhour (18 pts.), Grayson Cobb (13 pts.) and Reid Goodson (9 pts.).

The Lady Wildcats picked up a win of their own against the Eagles. The team fought to stay ahead in the final moments of the game and came out with a 52-50 win for the evening.

“We defended the ball well,” Lady Wildcats Coach James Holleman said. “Overall we did a good job.”

Top scorers for the Lady Wildcats were Chris Madigan (24 pts.) and Abby Harris (15 pts.).
