King News: Real estate group to hold classes

The Real Estate Brokers for Stokes County (REBSC) group will be hosting educational seminars during the months of January and February. The classes will be held at the three public libraries in Stokes County: January 24 in Danbury, February 7 in King and February 21 in Walnut Cove. These seminars will educate people who may be interested in buying or selling real estate properties in 2013. Each class will begin at 6 p.m. For more information, go to www.stokeshomesandland.com.

Stokes County Cooperative Extension’s Youth Development Program — 4-H — will be holding a “4-H Fiesta” Achievement Night on January 25 at 6 p.m. at the First Christian Church in King. Awards will be presented for club officer recognitions, club/leader/volunteer recognitions, club chartering recognitions, a guest speaker and refreshments. Northwestern Regional Library Quiz Bowl 2013 — Please come out to support South Stokes High School and Stokes Early College High School students as they participate in this exciting competition on Saturday, January 19th at 10 a.m. at the Andy Griffith Playhouse in Mount Airy.

The King Public Library Book Lover’s Book Club — Tuesday evening, February 12th at 7 p.m. This month’s title — “Angela’s Ashes” by Frank McCourt.

King Public Library Teen Game Night will be Thursday, January 17th from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be fun games and great food. All teens are welcome.
