A few weeks ago, Calvary Christian School celebrated Senior Night with a win against White Plains Christian of Mount Airy.

Off the tip, the first basket was scored by senior Kody Hogen. The Cougars led early, building up a 40-21 lead by half time. Seniors Kalob Hubbard and Kody Hogen each had eight points. Alex Lankford pulled down eight rebounds and scored 13 baskets. Ben Vernon led the team with 14 points to a final score of 68-33.

The Cougars traveled to Reidsville Friday night to play Community Baptist School. Early on, the Cougars dampened their homecoming enthusiasm with a quick lead. With the crowd cheering them on, Community came back to within one point in the second half.

Alex Lankford had 18 points in the game, followed by Kody Hogan and Ben Vernon, who both had 10 points. The Calvary Cougars were able to pull away with a victory, with a final score of 59-42. Kalob Hubbard’s eight points, along with Andrew Bryan’s and Andrew Kinzer’s six points each added to the 17-point victory.
