Stokes County farm to host spring open greenhouse


Looking for the perfect heirloom tomato for your garden or an unusual herb? Stop by Plum Granny Farm’s Spring Open Greenhouse and Plant Sale on Sunday, April 23 or Sunday, April 30 from 1-5 p.m.

The farm will offer a wide variety of Certified Organic transplants including heirloom and hard-to-find varieties. There will be hundreds of plants available: tomatoes, tomatillos, husk cherries, peppers – hot and sweet, eggplant, herbs plus baby ginger and turmeric plants. The farm also will sell farm-grown blackberry and black raspberry plants along with veggie starts such as kale, swiss chard and lettuce. In addition to plants, they will also be selling organic soil amendments to keep your plants healthy and productive.

Along with gardening needs, Plum Granny Farm will offer fresh, organic produce including spring garlic, asparagus and more, as well as their famous jams. The farm is located at 1041 Flat Shoals Road, just off of NC Highway 66 north of King.

Plum Granny Farm, located just south of Hanging Rock State Park, is a Certified Organic farm that produces garlic, brambles (raspberries and blackberries), ginger and turmeric as well as heirloom and other specialty crops such as asparagus, artichokes, and fingerling potatoes.
