Salvation Army Angel Tree and Stuff a Stocking underway

The Salvation Army Angel Tree and Stuff a Stocking programs are underway in Stokes County.

Stuff a Stocking boxes are located at Dairi-O, Sam’s Pizza, Public Libraries, and Town and Country Grille. Stockings may be picked up and returned to the same location now through December 4.

The new Walmart in King is hosting an Angel Tree. Angels may be adopted through December 4. Angels may also be adopted by calling Lisa Parrish at 336-245-2073

Toy donations may also be made at Stokes County DSS, 1010 Main Street in Danbury, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Alliance Insurance Services, 514 N. Main Street in Walnut Cove from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Friend2Friend Boutique, 320 East King Street in King, Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Additional toy donation locations include Walnut Cove Fire and Rescue, 527 N. Main Street in Walnut Cove any time, and Hope Pregnancy Center on December 9 from 10 a.m. until noon and December 12 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

The Salvation Army Christmas Assistance programs are entering their seventh year and serve children in every zip code in Stokes County. Around 500 children will be served this year from two distribution sites. Service is provided almost entirely by volunteers.
