The Stokes County Sheriff Office successfully completed Operation Winter Blues, following several months of investigative work, Monday executing search warrants on 11 suspected drug dealers and user’s in Stokes County. Officials said the operation has resulted in 43 charges.


Mark Edward Beaver, 28, of Mocksville, was charged with trafficking of a Schedule III subsatnce by possession (hydrocodone), trafficking of a Schedule III substance by selling (hydrocodone), trafficking of a Schedule III substance by transportation (hydrocodone), possession with intent to sell and deliver a Schedule II substance (morphine), selling a Schedule II substance (morphine), selling a controlled substance within 100 yards of a school or daycare, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is under a $40,000 securred bond.


Danielle Edwards Marion, 36, of Pinnacle, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a drug vehicle or dwelling place, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was placed under a $20,000 secured bond.


Natasha Lynette Sands, 33, of King, was charged with possession of a Schedule II substance (cocaine), maintaining a drug vehicle or dwelling place, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is under a $10,000 unsecured bond.


William Chad Shaffer, 35, of Walnut Cove, was charged with three counts of obtaining controlled substances by fraud or forgery, attempting to obtain controlled substance by fraud or forgery (fentanyl), and three counts of possession of a Schedule II controlled substance (fentanyl). He is under a $3,000 secured bond.


Jeffery Donnie Bullins, 56, of Walnut Cove,was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a drug vehicle or dwelling place, and is on a written promise bond.


Joshua Brian Martin, 29, of Walnut Cove,was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a schedule II controlled substance (ritalin), possession of schedule III controlled substance (hydrocodone), possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a drug vehicle or dwelling place. He was placed under a $5,000 unsecured bond.


Willie Gray Smith Jr., 59,of Walnut Cove, was charged with possession of cocaine, maintaining a drug vehicle or dwelling place, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is under a $500 secured bond.


John Windsor McClive, 60, of Walnut Cove, was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a drug vehicle or dwelling place. He is under a $15,000 secured bond.


Devon Alexander Bullins, 21, of Walnut Cove, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a drug vehicle or dwelling place. He is under a $5,000 secured bond.


Sarah Elizabeth Miller, 19, of Walnut Cove, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a drug vehicle or dwelling place. She is under a $5,000 unsecured bond.


Officers that assisted the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office are North Carolina State Probation. After briefing at the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office, officers were divided up into arrest teams where they then dispersed out to apprehend specific individuals named for warrant service in this operation.


“Our officers and assisting agencies go to a great extent and work a lot hours to locate drug violators,” said Sheriff Mike Marshall. “As you can see, drug users and dealers don’t just use and sell illegal drugs in the summer time. We are working these type of investigations all year round, even in the cold of winter time.”


Officer’s have arrested all but one of the suspects in this operation.


The court date for all arrested is Feb. 19.
