Local author Kimberly Dixon is hosting a book release party on April 16 to high light her two books, “I Need a Knee Replacement, Now What?” and
“I Have Arthritis, Now What?”
The release party will be held at The Farmhouse, 1137 North Main St., in Walnut Cove from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m.
In addition to signing books, Dixon will talk about her experiences with arthritis pain management and knee replacement surgery.
“As a result of being born bow legged, I had 8 surgeries in my lifetime,” she said. “Ending with bi-lateral knee replacement in 2015. I used my experiences with chronic pain, arthritis and knee replacement to write the “Now What?” series. The books are self-help guides that share some of my story and helps patients and their family through the process of arthritis and knee replacement.
Dixon, a 1989 South Stokes alum and certified life coach and Christian coach, said she is excited to bring her experiences to Walnut Cove.
“I present seminars and workshops on managing fear, self-care, stress management,” she added.
