Three people including two children were killed and two were injured in a two-vehicle wreck on US 311 near the Stokes County line Sunday evening.
State Police Trooper C.G. Lemons said Breanna Burrow, 11 of Walnut Cove, along with Gina Ann Caraballo, 41, and her daughter Kayla, of Kernersville were killed after the Dodge Neon they were traveling in crossed the center lane and had a head on collision with a Toyota Tundra pick up operated by John Stafford, 54, and his wife Cheryl,52, both of Walnut Cove.
The Dodge Neon, which was traveling south toward Walkertown, caught on fire following the the accident, according to Lemons.

Lemons said the accident occurred at around 8:15 p.m. He added that the cause of the accident had not been determined and no charges had been filed.
The Staffords were transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where Cheryl was still listed in critical condition on Monday.
“The husband also had serious injuries,” said Lemons. He added that the neither Stafford was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident, but said that due to the fire, police had been unable to determine if anyone in the Dodge Neon had been wearing seat belts.
